Virtual cards are the digital form of your eligible physical credit and debit cards. When you add your physical card to Apple Pay, it is stored as a virtual card. It will have a unique virtual card number that is only associated with Apple Pay.

Will merchants receive my physical card number?
No merchants will have access to your physical card number; they’ll receive the unique virtual card number associated with your debit card.

How do I pay with my iPhone?
Paying with Apple Pay at participating merchants is simple. You don't need to open an app or even wake your phone up. Simply hold your phone near the Apple Pay reader with your finger on Touch ID. A vibration and beep will let you know that your payment was successfully completed.

The first card you enter is your default payment card, but you can always switch it. If you'd like to pay with a card other than your default card, you can select a different card from the Wallet, then hold the phone near the terminal with your finger on Touch ID.

How do I pay using my cards with my Apple Watch?
Once you've added your UniBank debit card, paying in stores is quick and easy. Just double-click the side button and hold the face of your Apple Watch up to the contactless reader. A gentle pulse and a tone confirm that your payment information has been sent.

The first card you enter is your default payment card, but you can always switch it in the Apple Watch app. Want to switch cards when you’re paying? After double-clicking the side button, just swipe to browse through your cards and hold the face of the Apple Watch near the reader to pay.

Will all merchants accept Apple Pay?
No. Not all merchants have adopted this technology. Please continue to carry your physical cards to use where Apple Pay is not accepted. Most merchants will display the contactless payment symbol to let you know they accept contactless payments.

Does Wallet show my UniBank debit card transactions?
Wallet displays the last 10 UniBank debit card purchases you made with Apple Pay on your iPhone, but it won't display all your purchase details. For a complete view of all your UniBank debit transactions sign into Online Banking or use our Mobile Banking App and select the appropriate account.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?
It's a good idea to download Apple's Find My iPhone app before anything potentially happens to your phone.  You can use the app to quickly place your device in Lost Mode so your information is not accessible, or you can remotely erase your iPhone. Please note: Find My iPhone must be enabled in iCloud settings on your device before you can locate it with this app.

If you can't download the Find my iPhone app or can’t disable Apple Pay using your iCloud account from another device, you should call UniBank at 800-578-4270 to cancel your physical debit card which will delete your virtual cards from Apple Pay. You should also review your Online & Mobile Banking transactions. If you notice any suspicious activity, please contact us immediately.

I received a replacement UniBank debit card. Will I need to make any changes in Apple Pay?
Yes. While your card number may remain the same, the expiration or security code may have changed. Once you activate your new physical debit card, you will need to remove the outdated virtual card from your mobile Wallet. You can do this by selecting the card, then clicking the circled "i" at the bottom of the screen. Then select "Remove Card."

To add your new card, see "How do I add my physical debit card to Apple Pay?" above.

If I erase my iPhone, does that cancel my physical cards or can I continue to use them?
Erasing the information on your iPhone will have no effect on your physical cards. You can continue to use your cards as you normally would. Erasing your iPhone will delete the virtual cards from Apple Pay and they can no longer be used. You can add your credit and debit cards back into Apple Pay at any time.
