UniBank Awards $18,000 in Scholarships

Each year, UniBank offers scholarships to support the educational endeavors of exceptional students in the Blackstone Valley.  A total of nine scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, character and involvement in school or community activities.

The 2006 scholarship winners are:

  • Ashley Ballou, a graduate of Whitinsville Christian High School, will attend Gordon College where she will major in Biology.
     

  • Emily Bibeault, a graduate of Blackstone Millville High School, will attend Northeastern University and major in Athletic Training.
     

  • Sarah Cote, a graduate of Sutton High School, will attend the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she will study the performing arts.
     

  • Ashley Hunt, a graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School, will attend Babson College and major in Marketing.
     

  • Danielle Jordan, a graduate of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, will attend Roger Williams University and major in Criminal Justice.
     

  • Daniel Martinelli, a graduate of Uxbridge High School, will attend the University of New Hampshire and major in Political Science.
     

  • Stephanie McPherson, a graduate of Douglas High School, will attend the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she will major in Journalism and minor in Political Science.
     

  • Dennis Milechin, a graduate of Northbridge High School, will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he will study engineering.
     

  • Rachel Rutfield, a graduate of Grafton High School, will attend Roger Williams University and major in Pre-Medicine.
