Redding Named to Board of American Bankers Association
Each board member represents the interests of banks located in his or her state and region. ABA board members are integral to representing the views of their fellow community bankers on public policy issues and on products and services to help them better compete and serve the interests of their customers. Board members play important roles in serving as spokespersons for the banking industry, assisting in recruiting community banks to become members of the ABA, raising political contributions for use in supporting candidates for Congress and advocacy. Board members set the ABA's federal legislative and regulatory policy agenda. Board members also play a critical role in carrying the ABA's government relations message to Capitol Hill and the federal regulatory agencies. The American Bankers Association brings together banks of all sizes and charters into one association. ABA works to enhance the competitiveness of the nation’s banking industry and strengthen America’s economy and communities. To learn more about ABA, visit www.ABA.com. |
