James F. Paulhus Joins UniBank
Mr. Paulhus has almost twenty-five years of bank management experience. He comes to UniBank from Bank of America where he was market president for central Massachusetts. He had worked for Bank of America predecessors Bank of Boston, BankBoston and FleetBoston Financial since 1987. He began his banking career with Worcester County National Bank in 1981. Mr. Redding remarked, “Jim’s roots are in community banking but he also knows the banking industry from the large bank perspective. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a background that will complement our management team as we continue to grow and expand. Jim knows our marketplace and has a demonstrated record of community service. I look forward to working with Jim in the months and years ahead.” “I am very excited to join UniBank and look forward to being a part of its future growth,” commented Mr. Paulhus. He added, “I am impressed by the bank’s leadership and know this organization has a tremendous growth opportunity throughout the Blackstone Valley and central Massachusetts.” Mr. Paulhus earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Nichols College in 1981 and attended graduate school at Clark University. He is on the board of directors for several organizations including the United Way of Central Massachusetts, Worcester Municipal Research Bureau and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Mr. Paulhus is a trustee for the Worcester Art Museum and the treasurer/ executive committee member of Choose Worcester, Inc. He is the past chairman of the board for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and was the 2004 United Way of Central Massachusetts annual campaign chairman. In 2004, Mr. Paulhus was the recipient of the Character Counts Award from the Boy Scouts of America. A lifelong resident of central Massachusetts, Mr. Paulhus resides in Auburn, MA with his wife Bonnie and daughters Nicole and Jaclyn. |

J. Redding, president and CEO of UniBank has announced that James F.
Paulhus has joined UniBank as executive vice president and senior lending
officer. In his new position, Mr. Paulhus is responsible for planning
and directing the activities of the entire loan division, which includes
commercial, consumer and mortgage functions. He will also be a vital
member of the bank’s senior management team, participating in
the formulation of bank-wide strategies, decisions and policies.
