Nine Blackstone Valley libraries received a total of $22,500 from UniBank in community grants. The libraries, each a recipient of a $2,500 donation, are the Whitinsville Social Library, Upton Town Library, Uxbridge Free Library, Douglas Simon Fairfield Library, Blackstone Public Library, Grafton Public Library, Millville Public Library, Bellingham Public Library and Sutton Free Public Library.

UniBank proudly Supports libraries’ efforts because they coincide with the bank’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Blackstone Valley. In these tough economic times of budget reductions and rising costs, all of the beneficiary libraries voiced enthusiastic appreciation for this generous donation. Uses cited for this grant include DVDs, display shelves, updated computers and software, puppet shows for children, offering children’s summer programs and various cultural programs.
