UniBank Donates $5,000 to Alternatives

UniBank is pleased to announce that a $5,000 grant was awarded to Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. Alternatives provides residential and employment services to adults with disabilities throughout Central Massachusetts through a variety of programs, placing a strong emphasis on social integration.

The $5,000 grant will be used to purchase adaptive equipment to improve the quality of life of the individuals served by Alternatives by making them more self-reliant. Examples of this equipment range from therapy equipment and vital sign machines to pacers to help individuals walk on their own.

According to Kenneth J. Redding, president and CEO of UniBank, “It is evident to our board that Alternatives continues to be served by an extraordinary group of dedicated volunteers, and a caring and competent management group.  We are proud to support their efforts in the community.”

Dennis H. Rice, executive director of Alternatives stated, “UniBank has again extended itself in helping people most in need in the community and we thank everyone there for their wonderful support over the years.”
